Kristen is registered Music therapist with the Health and Care professions council and an American Board certified music therapist. kristen trained as a music therapist and mental health counselor in Boston USA under some of the top therapists in the field, specializing in medical music therapy. Kristen also has a experience working within a wide variety of clinical settings with both children and adults with varying needs including mental health, palliative care and end of life, autistic spectrum, ADHD, Dementia and elderly care, neurologic disorders including TBI and stroke, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, Trauma and social/emotional needs.
Kristen utilises the instruments of piano, guitar, voice, percussion, flute and drumming into her practice taking a person centered approach in how these instruments are incorporated.
